Pergolas & Covered Decks in Buffalo, NY
A pergola or covered deck earns its keep in January as much as July. We engineer shade structures and roofed decks with snow-load rated posts and beams, and flash the roofline where it meets your house the same careful way we flash a deck ledger, so the connection holds through freeze and thaw.
What’s included
Every job starts with a design or assessment visit and ends with a clean, cleared-up yard. In between: permits pulled where needed, inspections passed, and work we photograph for your records.
Design visit & layout
We talk sun angles, sightlines, and how the structure ties into your house.
Snow-load engineered posts & beams
Sized for lake-effect roof loads, not a fair-weather kit.
Proper roof-to-house flashing
The tie-in point gets the same careful flashing as a deck ledger.
Permits & inspections handled
We file with your town and meet the inspector.
Frost-depth footings (48")
Same standard as every structure we build.
Frame photo album + cleanup
Photos of the structure before any roofing or lattice goes on.

★★★★★
“Quoted in two days, built in six. The frame inspection notes they left were more thorough than our home inspector’s.”

Pergolas & Covered Decks FAQs
Do I need a permit?
Almost always in Erie and Niagara counties, for any deck over 18 inches high or attached to the house. We file it, pay it (it’s in the quote), and meet the inspector.
Can you build in winter?
Yes. Footings are the only weather-sensitive step, and we auger and pour below frost depth year-round. Winter slots are often the fastest way onto our schedule.
What warranty comes with the work?
10 years on workmanship for new builds, 2 years on repairs, plus manufacturer warranties on boards, up to 50 years on some composites. Both in writing with the quote.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Plans from 0% APR for 12 months on approved credit, arranged during the quote visit. Longer terms available for bigger builds.
